Morocco and China Launch Joint Lab to Advance Green Energy and Technology
Morocco and China are strengthening their partnership, particularly in the field of green energy and technology.
On Friday, the two countries inaugurated a joint laboratory for green energy and advanced materials in El Jadida. The initiative aims to enhance the application of cutting-edge technological advancements in Morocco and across Africa, according to China Daily.
A statement from State Grid Xinjiang Electric Company highlighted Morocco’s strong renewable energy potential but noted that it remains underutilized. While the country has made progress, renewable energy still accounts for a relatively small share of its overall energy structure. The report emphasized that infrastructure limitations and technology integration challenges have slowed Morocco’s energy transition.
