REPowerEU-Green Energy Transition for local governments (zielona-transformacja.org) prepared a series of six webinars addressed to local government units considering the implementation of renewable energy projects.
In the first webinar entitled “The Necessity of energy transition and the role of local governments”, prof. Krzysztof Pikoń and Dr. Andrzej Gołdasz discuss the key aspects of energy transition at the local level, emphasizing the important role of local governments in this process. From the webinar, local government units can learn, among other things, about the importance of climate policy and its role in the energy transition, goals, problems and tasks related to climate policy financing, adaptation actions and green-blue infrastructure, concepts of mitigation and adaptation or support systems. Energy transition is not only an obligation, but above all an opportunity for sustainable development of local communities. Active involvement of local governments in this process is crucial for achieving climate goals and building a green future for the region.
